Undisputed Winner!

Daddy and Mummy accompanied me on a kindergarten visit to a Primary School near our house today. It was Racial Harmony day and the school had all sorts of activities, like this sack race. I was the undisputed winner :)

Last Days of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

Michael: The first day that the railway station was boarded up for good. Bye bye KTM station. I went to you innumerable times during my Secondary, JC and University education in Singapore. Thank you, incompetents who ran it, at least you did not rape it, and did your best to slow down the degradation which was bound to happen if a higher civilization left technology to monkeys. My baby Jasper and my wife Sharon was at home worn out. I went alone. But I only feel this maudlin only when I search for these words - the X100 just requires me to point and shoot.

Cousin Alysha is born

Just on the morning we had to get back to Singapore from KL, Auntie Joyce gave birth to cousin Alysha in the morning - Uncle Alan rushed to the hospital with her special bag, and when we visited them after breakfast, the baby was already there!

Our House got painted

Finally, after 5 years, a new coat of paint at our house. We better take a picture first before it gets ugly! The paintwork made us much happier, and a lot of the broken corners inside got fixed too. Thanks to uncle Kelvin Hoe for the recommendation of the painter which did the job at 1/3 of the quotation of Patent Waterproof company.

2011 Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon festival

A pretty successful event in the dead synthetic town of Putrajaya near KL. Doraemon and Darth Vader were the stars, and it was an excellent show.

The Incredible Hot Air Balloon Cake @Jasper's 6th Birthday

Look at that incredibly beautiful cake made possible by the dogged determination of Le Patissier Singapore, with some help from mummy's Smurfs. We had the party at Villa Di Parma in Serangoon Gardens and all the school kids came, and Dawn too!!! Having our own balloon tank helps defray costs :) yeah right.

Auntie Mimi Comes

Auntie Mimi comes, in time for Jasper's 6th birthday party at Villa di Parma, complete with the helium tank and balloons.

Wowzo. Mickey and Minnie and Jasper in Hong Kong Disneyland! We queued for an hour to get these, while Mickey and Minnie went for toilet breaks, smoke breaks, poor mice. We waited in freezing cold 5 degrees C weather... with a lovely girl in front of Jasper of his age but with language problem she declined to engage verbally.

Still they played ball together at least.

Wrapping Christmas Presents

A little early, but Jasper's wrapped up presents he bought from KL for all in the family.

Sek Yuen Restaurant

Jasper says Sek Yuen Restaurant's food is superb. It's a must go destination everytime we're at KL. Here the boss is overlooking proceedings, Jasper is poking some stuff.

Sharon found Sek Yuen in IS magazine couple of years ago, but it wasn't until we ventured to the non-aircon part of Sek Yuen when everything became unmissable.

Delicious!

Delicious is a restaurant in Bangsar which ... the most wonderful thing is that they have plush pillows lining all their seats etc. Makes it extra wonderful after eating. After breakfast is sayang time, better with pillows.

Cippola is no more!

Shucks! Cippola the Italian Restaurant is no more. Max the Owner Chef sold it to some Tintin loving Belgian who set up a ... Belgian... restaurant. Can't comment on the food, daddy felt so sick with fever he went home early.

The Ipad era

End 2010 is probably going to be the peak of the Ipad era. Here I am with Matthew and Jason in Uncle Yap's house, the Ipad is an instant hit. I hope they buy one too.

Christmas in Malaysia is crazy big

Christmas in Malaysia is crazy big, with special Xmas stands everywhere. This is Megamall.... wow. Nothing in Singapore touches this scale of Xmas retail mania man.

Lost My First Tooth!

This is my first lost tooth! I actually went to the dentist the day before, the dentist said that this is a little early but the teeth are pretty healthy anyway, so no cause for worry.

My Zion Kindergarten Concert

Fishing in Avillion Port Dickson

Every year, we go to Avillion in Port Dickson a few times. Mummy books the best rooms, those built on the sea. Here's Grandma and Grandpa there, fishing. We bought bait from the local Bait and Tackle shop, the expensive worms. But still no luck, but ... it's fun!
